Desiccant Rotor Dehumidification
Desiccant rotor dehumidification systems are the most economical systems for achieving humidity values below room temperature and 50% RH. At the core of the system is a high-efficiency silica gel-impregnated rotor. Similar in structure to heat recovery rotors, it functions to transfer moisture. These continuously operating dehumidifiers can achieve low dew points.
The rotor is divided into two separate sections: the process section and the regeneration section. As the process air passes through the rotor’s process section, it transfers its moisture to the rotor, drying the air. To regenerate the rotor, air from outside is heated and passed through the rotor’s regeneration section, removing the absorbed moisture. This continuous system ensures the desired humidity conditions are maintained.
