The goal of chemical filter media is to capture harmful gases such as H2S, SO2, SO3, O3 and mercaptans in the air. The chemical filter media has a porous structure that can be impregnated with, for example, potassium permanganate %8(KMnO4); this is what gives the pellet its specific purple color. Potassium permanganate is a very powerful oxidator. Harmful gases penetrate into the pellet through the microporous surface after which an irreversible oxidation process takes place. Harmful gases are converted into a neutral residual gas. We have developed different types of chemical filters using different types of impregnates. This purple medium reacts with a very extensive range of gases. The best solution for your situation can be determined based on the application, the types of gases to be captured, the gas concentration and the quantity of air.
