SBX-ChemCarb-15-4P

SORBEX ChemCarb-15-4P Chemical Impregnated Alumina, Zeolite, Activated Carbon which is a caustic impregnation specially designed for general acid gas removal. Used in the petrochemical, pulp and paper industry, as well as in wastewater treatment plants, to remove Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S), Chlorine, Sulphur Dioxide and others. With the newly developed ChemCharb 15-4P, higher hardness and stability, greater removal capacity for H2S (over 30% w/w), as well as better reaction speed have been achieved, which allows high removal capacity with very short contact times. Also, suitable for gas leak containment facilities for acid gases (chlorine gas (Cl2) and sulfur dioxide (SO2).
Target Pollutants:
- Hydrogen sulphide (H2S)
- Chlorine (Cl2)
- Sulphur dioxide (SO2)
- Nitrogen oxides (NOx)
- Mercaptans (RSH)
Specifications
- Shape: pellets
- Diameter: 4 mm
- Density: 700 kg/m3 ± 5%
- Humidity: 15-19%
- Capacity H2S: up to 35% w/w
Mechanism:
The porous structure, as well as the high specific surface area of the substrate, allows large quantities of contaminant gases to reach the pores, where the acid-base reaction takes place. The contaminants are irreversibly removed and transformed into harmless salts, which remain on the substrate, through a sequence of adsorption, absorption and chemical reaction.
