Tissue & Paper Trim Transport Air Ventilation System

Keep Tissue Lines Clean, Safe, and Efficient

Tissue and hygiene converting creates continuous trims, cookies, and fine fibers that can reduce uptime, affect roll quality, and increase fire/explosion risk if not controlled. The APC Tissue & Paper Trim Ventilation System captures trims and dust at their source, pneumatically transports them to separation and compaction, and returns clean, conditioned air to the hall with minimal energy.

What we control

  • Machine & rewinder dust: capture boxes/hoods engineered not to disturb the sheet or operator access.

  • Mist at the wet end (optional): prevents corrosive build-up and dust-mist agglomeration.

  • Hall ventilation: balanced temperature/humidity and clean-air recirculation strategies.

System Building Blocks

  • Trim pick-up hoods & capture boxes tailored to doctor blade, slitter, log saw, and tension zones. (Dust generation hotspots typically include crêping/doctor and edge trimming.)

  • Conveying network (anti-static, conductive ducting) sized for lighter-than-air tissue ribbons.

  • Fans/blowers with VFD control, auto-balance by web speed.

  • Cyclone/air-material separators + baler interface for clean recycling streams.

  • High-efficiency dust collectors (cartridge/bag) for fine fibers; optional HEPA final stage.

  • Controls & safety: ATEX zoning, earth-bonding, spark detection/extinguishing (option), interlocks.

Trim Handling Options (Venturi vs. Cutter/Fan)

  • Venturi (eductor) conveying: no moving parts in the airstream, very low maintenance and fast to deploy—ideal for continuous trims to baler.

  • Cutter/Fan systems: higher CAPEX but lower energy per tonne and smaller waste volume (fewer bale changes, faster ROI in many cases).

We size and simulate both options and recommend the lowest TCO for your layout and product mix.

Why APC

  • Process-aware capture that protects roll quality and reduces cleaning shutdowns.

  • Energy design: short duct runs, optimized velocities, VFD logic, and airflow recirculation.

  • ATEX by design for Zone 21/22: conductive ducting, earthing, venting/flameless venting, and isolation dampers.

  • Retrofit specialists for multi-OEM lines; interfaces to cyclones, compactors, and balers.

Typical Results

  • Cleaner machine areas and fewer unplanned stops

  • Lower airborne dust around winders and converting lines

  • Consistent bale density and recyclable stream quality

  • Quieter, balanced hall environment

Applications: Tissue, towel, napkin converting; core trimming; rewinding; packaging outfeed; hygiene product finishing.
