Our CDC Cyclone utilizes inertial forces to achieve efficient powder separation. By inducing a helical motion within a downward-tapered chamber, it effectively removes dust particles from the airflow. The air, driven by a fan, enters the cyclone from above and is compelled into a circular motion between two concentric walls, creating a swirling air pattern. The generated centrifugal force pushes solid dust particles against the inner walls of the cylindrical body. These particles then gradually descend in a spiraling motion to the cyclone’s neck, where they are either collected in a bin or discharged via a double butterfly valve. The CDC Cyclone is an ideal pre-dedusting system when paired with our ADC filters. This combination is perfect for various industrial processes that handle coarse and dry powders or operate in environments with the presence of sparks. The pressure drop in these cyclones ranges from 500 to 1,250 Pa, ensuring efficient and reliable operation.
